四川大学is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. Having visited it, there are still traces of the beginning of the 20th century. It works with many global universities and offers a high-quality curriculum. If I have the opportunity to do a Chinese semester there, I would like to apply for a master's degree there. Some of my Chinese and foreign friends are students there and appreciate the great professionalism of their teachers and study programs. By the way, Chengdu is a city I fell in love with. It would be really wonderful for me to do a semester of study there.

1. Main Courses
Editor Notes: Students will study a various kind of courses to improve Chinese Proficiency.

An academic year consists of spring and autumn semesters, the division of which follows the schedule of Chinese spring festival and varies from year to year.
- Autumn semester: from late August or early September to late January of the next year

3. HSK test center
Editor Notes: International students can get advisory services about HSK test.
The HSK test center set by Hanban in CDU is currently the only center qualified for online test in whole Sichuan province. Our HSK center will provide foreign students with advisory services relevant to HSK test.

5. Life on Campus
Editor Notes: ITSD will offer help whenever you need, and the facilities on campus are sufficient.
International Teachers & Students Division (ITSD) will play a key role as management and liaison during your stay in CDU. We will offer help and service to you when you want to extend or change your visa, move off campus, or when you need to make contact with your Consulate or Embassy and your families in the event of an emergency. We will provide you with all the relevant documents and certificates when you finish your study and leave for your home country. We would like to keep in close touch with every student and offer you help whenever it is needed from the start of your application to the completion of your study.
There are libraries (open time: 8:30-22:30), language laboratories, banks, post offices, bookstores, hospitals, and grocery stores. Facilities for exercise include: gyms, stadiums, swimming pools, tennis courts, Ping-Pong tables, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and football fields. International students may dine at either the cafeterias on campus with other Chinese students or at restaurants around campus, which are very affordable.

Please take it to hospital to have a checkup with all items, including personal information, photo, checking date, doctors' suggestion and signature.
5. If the applicant is aged between 16 and 18, materials of the applicant's guardian in China must be provided
A guardian certificate signed by the applicant, the applicant's guardian and the designated guardian in China, and a copy of the ID of the designated guardian in China (the designated guardian in China can be a Chinese citizen in China or a foreign national with a long-term residence permit in China designated by the applicant's guardian).

For one-semester application, bank deposit should be RMB 15,000 or above; for one-year application, bank deposit should be RMB 25,000 or above.

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included

*9. Personal statement
Including self-introduction, educational background, goal and plan of studying in China.
10. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.

For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit.
